The Ports

Trieste is at the centre of trade traffic at the northernmost point of the Adriatic. It is at the cross-roads of the region's international maritime trade and operates within a duty-free regime.

It hosts the Molo V11 Container terminal, the RO/RO ferry terminal (for routes to Turkey and Albania), the SIOT oil pipeline terminal and the Stazione Marittima cruise liner terminal.


Durres is situated approximately 120 nautical miles east of Bari, Italy, across the Adriatic Sea. It is the largest harbour in Albania and is located about 39 kilometers from Tirana. It is the principal port and gateway to Western Europe, the second largest city and the oldest city of Albania.

Bari is an important port in the Southern part of the Adriatic Sea. It is a cultural, commercial and administrative centre. It has traditionally been Italy's gateway to the Balkans and the Middle East. It has a multi functional harbour which, with its easy accessibility (by direct link with the rail and road network), allows a rapid connection with all the industrial, agricultural and commercial centres in Southern Italy.
