| TERMS, CONDITIONS AND EXCEPTIONS UNDER WHICH PASSENGERS, THEIR LUGGAGES AND VEHICLES ARE CONVEYED
The ticket is provided by ILION LINES S.A. as carrier, acting for and on behalf of the Owner of the vessel mentioned on the ticket and is accepted by the passenger(s) and/or the owner of vehicles whose name(s) is/are mentioned therein, subject to the following terms, conditions and exceptions: 1. Wherever in the ticket the word “Carrier” is used, it will be deemed to include the Owners of the vessel, their servants or representatives or any other parties for the acts of which the Owner might be held responsible.
2. The ticket is not transferable and is valid only for the voyage and the accommodation for which it was provided. The price of the ticket is inclusive of sea crossing and service on board only. Insurance against “all risks”, either for passengers, their belongings, valuables, luggage, vehicles, and for recovery of cancellation fees, is not included. It is the passengers' responsibility to cover themselves. The price of meals consumed is not included in the ticket and must be settled on board the vessel directly. Taxes, embarkation, disembarkation expenses for passengers and vehicles, are separately shown in the ticket and must be settled together with passage fare.
3. The Carrier is not responsible for death of passenger(s) or for any other personal injury suffered by him(them), or for loss or damage to his (their) luggage and vehicles when these events arise or result from:
a) act of war
b) shipwreck, collision or stranding even when caused by an error or a fault or negligence of
the master, crew, pilots or other servants on board;
c) fire;
d) perils, dangers and accidents of the sea or other navigable waters;
e) act of public enemies;
f) quarantine restrictions;
g) riots and civil commotions;
h) latent defects not discoverable by due diligence;
i) arrest or restrain of princes, rulers, or people, or seizure under legal process;
j) saving or attempting to save life;
k) suicide, drunkness or disappearance of the passenger(s) during the sea passage;
l) any other cause arising without the actual fault of the Carrier.
4. The passenger(s) is(are) not allowed to bring on board the vessel any kind of weapons, firearms, explosives incendiary or inflammable or any other dangerous goods. The Captain is entitled to confiscate such goods and to take any other lawful measures for the safety of the vessel, and of any other person on board.
5. The Carrier has the right to refuse the embarkation or to request the disembarkation of any passenger, his luggage and/or his vehicle, in case he may deem they are unfit for sea transportation due to serious disease, mental or physical, or in case these persons and/or luggage/vehicles, due to their condition may impair the health of other passengers and or affect the safety of the vessel.
6. Open date tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue. The holder of such ticket should book his accommodation on board well in advance, especially during the peak season. Any difference in fares arising when traveling in the high season, must be settled before departure.
7. In case of loss of the passage ticket (no matter if this is due to unintentional loss or theft), immediate notice must be given to the Carrier's Head Office, with full details of the lost coupons, or at least the name of issuing agent, the name of passenger(s) and date of purchase. Reimbursements are effected after the end of the year of issue provided that the lost coupons have not been used by anyone. A duplicate of the lost ticket will be issued only against payment of the relevant fare.
8. Except in the case of proven and verifiable force majeure, the cancellation of a confirmed booking is liable to the following penalties:

50% of passage fare; |
No refund will be granted to “no show” passengers. Refunds are effected exclusively in the country where the ticket has been issued and by the issuing office.
9. Passengers with or without accompanied vehicles, must present themselves at the embarkation office at least two hours before sailing; groups are to show up at least two hours before sailing. On failure to adhere to such time-limits, the Carrier will have the right to consider such passenger as “no show”, cancel their bookings and replace them with “stand-by” passengers.
10. The price of the ticket includes an allowance of 75 kgs luggage per passenger. The excess weight will be charged to the passenger and collected by the Carrier prior embarkation. Passengers traveling with the accompanied vehicles are allowed to leave their luggage in their vehicle and they are warned that under no circumstance the carrier will be liable for loss or damage of anything left in the vehicle. The Carrier's liability is restricted only to valuables deposited in the Purser's Office safe, within the limits of the law.
11. Pets travel free of charge and must be provided with muzzle and kept in ship's kennel. Cats and other domestic animals are to be carried in baskets or cages in the care and responsibility of the owners. The admittance of pets in cabins and/or public lounges is strictly forbidden. Pets must hold valid international vaccination certificates.
12. All prices and time-tables are subject to alterations without prior notice. If for any reason whatsoever the vessel is detained at any port or her sailing is prevented, passengers detained or electing to stay on board will be charged for their maintenance, while if they are detained or elect to stay ashore, they will be responsible for accommodation arrangements and bear the related expenses. In case of need, the carrier reserves the right to change the carrying vessel without prior notice to passenger(s).
13. Notice to drivers: accompanying drivers are responsible for conveying their vehicles under ship's staff instructions from shore to ship's garage and vice versa on their own responsibility. Drivers are requested, after parking the vehicles on board to make sure that hand brake is secured, door left unlocked and to take with them anything they may need for the voyage. Access to the car deck will not be permitted during the crossing. In case of special need passengers should apply to the Purser's Office.
14. Commercial vehicles and unaccompanied cars cannot be booked on passenger tickets. For reservation of such vehicles the Carrier is to be contacted well in advance.
15. For safety and immigration rules, each passenger must produce a valid passport and entry visa. Passengers refused disembarkation by immigration will be taken back to their embarkation port at their expense. Personal data submitted at embarkation counter will be protected and used only for the purpose of and in accordance with the prevailing law.
16. Any passenger with an existing medical pathology or needing special assistance on board must inform the Carrier on booking and at the embarkation counter.
17. All claims and disputes arising under the above terms and conditions shall be subject to Greek law and shall be decided exclusively by the court of first instance of Piraeus (maritime section), subject to the provisions of the 1974 Athens Convention as enacted in Greece by Statute no. 1922/1991 relating to the carriage of passengers and their luggage by sea. The jurisdiction of any other court is excluded.
